Explore the changes in Western European Art in the 19th Century
The Rise of Modernism in the 19th Century
The student of art, whether as apractising artist or as an appreciative viewer of art and culture, should have an understanding of the progression of art and artistic schools as they developed over time.
Art History can be viewed as a rather formal subject, but we aim to make it relevant to a better understanding of why it has moved in certain directions, based on the rapid changes that occurred in Western Europe at that time.
Christine has taken people to England and France to explore and view this art in it's geographical and cultural context and she will take you on this journey too, so come along and enjoy the ride!
